Why does soupy hate get stoked on it

I still to this day don't like it, so when people started going crazy for Upsides I was thinking "are they crazy? I couldn't believe it was the same band. So I got a very nice summer with two, to me, new awesome records by the same band. I like the last song on Stoked, which could probably be on any of their other full lengths.

It's good. Also some song in the middle and Key Stone which I like because it's fast. Yeah, they've stated that they don't really like those jams. I think the only 7" I'd pay for right now is the all or nothing split, how much would one have to pay for one of those, usually? GSOI was in the works to be pressed on vinyl but Chris from No Sleep said it was put on hold while a few unexpected releases and etc were being done.

Not sure whether or not it will still happen, but there was a lot of interest around it so hopefully it goes ahead! I just want to own Buzz Aldrin On vinyl. The guys in TWY hate this record, I do too. I can't understand how people like that shitty easycore record to be honest. I know that a lot of their easycore mosh and FYS pop-punk fans still eat this shit up, but I doubt that it will ever get pressed.

I really don't think it's that bad of an album. Yeah it's a lot different from The Upsides, but bands mature and song writing gets better.

One of my favorite things about The Wonder Years is their lyrics and although these songs are "short sighted and naive," I still think they're well written. Wait really? I would love the wonder years to death if they had good lyrics and didn't use the same ones over and over and over. I put so much thought into it and into making it feel as real as any Wonder Years record.

Ace said when he was mixing it he almost started crying a couple of different times just from how the lyrics hit. In America some of the shows were only two hours apart and some were only an hour apart. You play two sold out shows an hour apart and some of those kids are coming twice. We try to do that a little here too because these cities are close so we shift it around a little bit.

Oh yeah! Nobody has seen the whole video. In Baltimore, they wanted to put a GoPro on my head for this tour update video just for one song. I get out to the corner of the stage and I realise the barricade is really thin, like a bicycle rack.

I fall into the trash can, roll over then climb up on the bar and front flip back into the crowd. We did a question and answer panel with fans on the last tour. One person asked me what colour my pubes were. I guess my parents. So a blending of all that I guess. Oh yeah, totally. We did a couple times already. Why did I do that? I should try to not look so pigeon toed on stage or I should stand up straighter. All the shit your mum would probably tell you.

It is. I have no idea what to expect. I always thought we were kind of a Slam Dunk band as far as festivals go. We were maybe big fish in a small pond in a certain sense.

This would be big fish in a BIG fucking pond. We look like nothing compared to some of these bands so I hope some people bother to come see us. July 6, by James Fox. Hey Soupy. How are you doing in general?

Yeah, all the way into my fucking bones. Busy year, right? Fucking tired. Plus evidence of an impeccable memory. That kind of leads onto my next question. In some of your music you talk about the toll touring can take on yourself, but obviously at the same time you still enjoy what you do?

Holy shit! All I do is play shows. I love that Ginsberg poem! How do you feel your depiction then fits in with your ideas now about what America is, especially given that you-know-who is in the White House?

The portrayal is very specifically about our town. Why not? We wrote it after all that touring and we had to write it really fast. It was boot camp for being in a band. There are plenty of stories online. It sounds pretty harrowing. I mean, Steve did it because he wanted us to be better. He was a coach. But I threw up doing vocals a couple of times because he kept telling me to push harder.

What am I doing wrong? Is it the pitch, is it the timing, is it the way the vowel sounds? But I think we came out of it better players, better musicians, and with a better understanding of songwriting, too.

But once we figured it out, I think we made a lot of great music together. That was one of a myriad of problems with this record. We were lucky that he considered working with us. But the other thing with the mix was I just so depressed at this point.

As anyone who has some depression issues will tell you, you go through highs and lows, and I was really, really low. They just want to know what the hell a land pirate is. And unlike some of their peers, The Wonder Years are a bit more on the pop side of things. The whole thing sounds like a Motion City Soundtrack song if they stepped away from the PS3 once in a while.

Get Stoked On It! Not in a bad way though, as it is possibly the most diverse song on Get Stoked On It!
